1. that might help, But breaks the lore of affiliating with a GC-To allow the ability to play with friends in a MMORPG
1. Allow you temporary GC status of whoever the party leader is that is queueing for frontlines.
2. Make frontlines FC based off grand company affiliation
3. Remove the PVP rank reset penalty for changing grand companies
Announcement Source
2. so that means Immortal flames will be screwed. just look at their residential wards. Most Malestrom wards are full, Immortal Flames have maybe two wards full. (based off a quick look at Behemoth server)
3. that might be more reasonable. But i would add, possibly restricting it in some way other than pvp rank changes. Something to stop people from flooding one GC over another.
My biggest issue with this is the real world time restriction for switching between companies. I can deal with each company having its ranks, seals, etc. separate but let me switch between them as I want to.
Oh and the glamour restrictions on GC gear is a bit annoying tbh.
What?
I don't need to try an idea out to know its bad , i would think this would be fairly obvious and common sense.
The sole fact that you can't play with whoever you want makes it a bad idea on its own, add to that the possible imbalances, between gc populations therefore affecting queue times for example, to come from this.
What you have failed to point out is the gains for this, besides "lore".
Finally not here to talk about anything else besides the thread topic, and in case you haven't noticed most people who participated in this thread found this a bad idea too, so.. yeah.

Just don't make us lose our pvp level if we switch GC. Solved. Good Job.
The Wards do not show what FC is affiliated to what. My FC is Flames affiliated with a home in Lavender Beds. That point is invalid.
