Question for Summoners/Bards on Levi EX

Hey everyone. I have done Levi EX a bunch of times over the last two weeks (since I unlocked it) and have successfully beaten him around 20 times, playing as white mage, scholar and black mage. I have no interest in the whm weapons, but do now have the blm staff and sch book.

However, I would like the bard bow and summoner book, and was looking for info on each job in the trial.

First, for summoners, what is best to do with Garuda? Place? Obey? The reason I ask is most other fights you can place and be cool. However, in Levi with all of the constant switching of sides, I'm looking for the least stressful way to use Garuda.

For bards, how do you deal with TP and running from his dives and body slams? I mostly have no problem sprinting as the three jobs I've beat him on. However, sprinting as a bard would be much different since it sucks away all your TP. Any advice?

I usually have Garuda on Place and Obey so she only uses Wind Blade. Put her on follow when you dodge Dive/Slam. When the add comes out then you can use the other move and Shockwave if you need to interrupt a Dreadstorm. It's not really that stressful as SMN as you can multi-dots the plumes when they're up or more advanced stuffs would be let the tank pull the add to the head, Bane your DOTs on it. You can also do it reversely and put DOTs on the add and bane on the head/tail.

Simple, do not Sprint. You don't need Sprint to dodge dive or slam. There are 3 points (2 points for dive, 1 point for slam) you can stand on that will allow you to dodge every single dive/slam with minimal movement.
The point for slam is dead center, zoom out your camera all the way facing North or South so you can see both sides of the boat in front of you. If you hear the water sprouts but don't see it, run forward, otherwise, run backward. Dodge it everytime. You only need to run 3/4 of the way to the N/S edge of the boat.
The points for dive are on the N and S side of the dead center point, on the edge of the little circle in the middle. If he dives N/S, run left/right. If he dives across the boat, run forward and backward. The key is to bait the water weights so that your center is free of them and don't kill anyone.

Honestly, dives and slams are only minimally dangerous. I've had way more close calls with Grand Fall positioning than I have with either of those two. Lemon8or's advice for dashes and slams is good, though, even if I usually don't follow it.

Yeah I don't follow my own advice neither after hundreds of farm parties. Those are just the rules I made to help my newer to the fight FC mates.

Sprint is a crutch. No attack in the game requires sprinting to dodge or else it would screw over any class that uses TP skills.

Well. Not totally true. Depending on positioning you may want to sprint after a divebomb leading into lunar dynamo in t9.
