What's the point of making a player sit still for 3 hours straight? I'm waiting for fate: the enmity of my enemy the exact three hours and nothing.

As someone who hopes that this is indeed fun? The person who created this logic needs to be fired immediately. My veil atma this quest more boring than the atmas own farm.

Its your Choice to sit and wait for it, not SE's. Why not watch a movie or something while you wait?

I watch Shows on Hulu while I wait, helps to pass the time.

When it finally popped, did the Enemy of My Enemy FATE pop before it?
I went through a similar situation while trying to fulfill an Atma book task.
After looking the fate up online, I found that the Enemy of My Enemy is a prerequisite, which pops regularly.
There will be a few required FATES that will have uber long wait times, I reserve these for when I have other things to do around the house

what about doing other fates in the area? theres a maximum of fates which can be active at the same time, if you do other fates yours will pop faster

I've missed so many FATEs that I waited over an hour to do by FATE farming the zone to make it pop. This is the worst advice you can give someone. It's better to camp where it spawns like everyone else does because it'll be over before you get there. Especially a far out of the way FATE.

uhm...if you see that the prefate starts you have enough time to reach the place to participate in "the enmity of my enemy"

How often does this FATE pop? I saw it on the Map, but missed it because I had just teleported in and it was there. So, I logged off and will camp that site for a awhile tonight when I get back from work.

2.5-4 hours and it is 2 part fate.

when I do fates for my book, I usually shout and ask when was the last time it pops to judge whether I should stay or do others first.

This. I can't tell you how many people I see ask in /shout about "Enmity of my Enemy", and I tell them time and again that you need to complete "Enemy of my Enemy" for it to appear. It's not great logical leap that if two FATEs have incredibly similar names, that they're probably linked in some way.

What threw me when I first had to do this FATE was that the initial one starts from an NPC with an exclamation mark rather than simply popping up.

Naturally I learned to research every FATE beforehand so that I knew the starting conditions before beginning my vigil.
