STOP THE BOTS!

No this post is about bot affecting the gameplay of a game I am paying for. I didnt just watch someone for 5 mins and say BOT. I have been watching for weeks and I have been reporting people who I know are bots. I even has some friends who told me certain people have admitted to botting the hell out of stuff it makes it easy.

Now I do make most of my own parties I even teach end game parties. So please if you are here just to blindly defend bots then leave. Read it all and do your own research as well. Since you are hyperion take a hour or 2 to watch all the players in Northern Thanalan since thats one of the easy spots to find them.

Your choosing to watch people bot. You are not a hall monitor. Report and move on man.

Just report it when you found, they can tell which are bot and not.

The bot infestation on my server has gotten bad lately. There's always a group of black mage clones at the city aetherytes or the Nald and Thal gates of Ul'dah and just yesterday I saw this near the mun-tuy cellars. This is about half the group that was there initially, the rest teleported elsewhere before I took the screenshot.



There's so many and in between the time they've been reported and the time they get banned, they've already done their damage and started a new crop of bots. It doesn't seem worth the trouble for players to keep up with reports.

I've personally witnessed someone using a bot for Alexandrite farming. They were in Middle La Noscea and as soon as a FATE would spawn, they'd mount up and take the longest possible path every time. (most people would jump down to the western half of the map, this person took the ramp down EVERY time) There were also other little things you could tell they were using a bot, such as if they were in combat and another FATE spawned, they would just stand there until the mob was killed. (either their chocobo or another PC would have to kill it for them to move onto the FATE, but they wouldn't personally do anything to try to kill the mob or get out of combat)

I'm not going to go as far as to say it's ruining my gaming experience, but it is pretty saddening. I've ran into other people that use bots to spiritbond by standing in out of the way places and obviously botting, since their character just sits in one spot spinning in circles until a mob spawns. I just report them and move on, but that same person is still in game so it's a bit disheartening.

Sounds like you don't care about the game being ruined. I do play the game more than I "watch" It's kinda hard not to notice bots well you farm fates.

Yes the game is full of bots.
Most of them are outside the map running instances in parties to spiritbond gear.

Sometimes you see them doing fates, sometimes they port from Mainquest npc to mainquest npc.

And sometimes its just a little gatherer bot used by normal players.


I gave up after reporting about 100 of them.

You know the ones who actually defend bots or tell someone to move on and ignore, most likely are botting themselves.

I mean god forbid if he actually gets more people to report them and one of you are among them and possibly what you are afraid of.

My question is why post inside a topic if this was going to be your attitude from the get go? I mean you could of just ignored the topic all together, read it and then just moved on yourselves like a few of you said.

I say good job, cheaters need to learn their place.

Reason I say this, I ran into a cheater on a game, he denied and denied and told people to shutup and move on and guess what he got caught and vac banned.
