Why exclude people from Chocobo raising?

"Chocobo raising will be accessible only to those that have a free company house."

This is something I was looking forward to but being picky about who I play with I've been very happy with my little Linkshell, whose members span several FCs. I don't see why they decided to limit it to FC members with housing only? There's plenty of Chocobo NPCs out in the world ? Anyone have any idea?

With private rooms being limited to those with FC housing (why not allow us to have permanent inn rooms?) I'm disappointed with what I've seen of patch 2.3, a couple of the coolest features I won't be able to access unless I join an FC which I've happily done without so far

People in small FC's without housing lose access to these features too, I don't get why SE would stop some of their playerbase accessing Chocobo raising (housing I can understand a little)?

heres the problem with a lot of people lol....

1. people complain about not having an FC....well join or make one. This game is better when played with friends, imo.
2. people complain that houses are too expensive and don't want to put in any effort to get one.
3. people complain that they need gil to "buy materia" for novus when they could just spiritbond and save a bunch of gil.

smh, you instant gratification crowd need to just go away. Anything of value takes time and effort unless you are extremely rich and if you're complaining about 2 and 3, I have a feeling you might not be.

Maybe i am on the wrong server, so yea, just punish legacy players more, all is ok!

Lets compare pricings of MATERIALS, MATERIA and GEAR... I wonder who sees the light then.

Probably because they will be introducing company stables with it and you need property to have stables. No property, no stables, no means of raising chocobos. They will probably expand it to include private houses once those are a thing, but we have no timeline on that yet so... yeah. And, just to point out, we DO have permanent inn rooms. They haven't kicked us out or charged us rent yet so they are as permanent as permanent can get right now. Heck, they used to be a home point before we got this new teleport system.

Agreed. He even said they will look into making it where you can do your chocobo raising from a porter at some point in the future. So how about instead of excluding a lot of players from this you actually implement that right away so every can use it. Willing to bet there are far more players that don't have an FC house than those that do. This isn't a feature that should be exclusionary.

My FC has like 10 active members and we have a house. None of us are rich either.
