Seriously just because you are a fresh 50 does not entitle you to the gear, those lv 90-100 are also there doing their part and have every right to roll need for whatever reason.

I am one of those still trying to complete my CT set. I am there doing my part and deserve to roll need as much as the new 50.

If they started checking ilvls and prohibited people from rolling all they would have to do it put on the lower ilvl gear and then the CT runs would not be as easy becuase ev1 will be in lower gear OR they will stop running and then you will be waiting even longer to get in a run.

If you want guaranteed drops then put together your own group with loot rules.

Wait why is this even a big deal? I recognize that he's a new 50,but really, missing CT gear is not even a big deal. With all the myth he's getting from running it, he can easily get superior gear. Plus roulettes, plus soldiery gear. And Ultima, and market board. Seriously, CT gear has virtually no use anymore.

My friend has been doing Crystal Tower ever since he hit lv50 a week ago and he's only got one piece of gear in that whole time. The problem he runs into is if he's the only one (Black Mage) no Crimson gear will drop or he'll get put into a group with ppl who have lv 90-100 gear and still roll "Need" and win and the last one I'm sure is just random, but he always has really low rolls. I mean he'll roll 2s and 3s. I know your personal inventory is checked, but I think they should check beyond that. Taking something that a lower geared person could use is not cool and I know if I see someone doing that, they're getting kicked.

Assuming 2 runs of CT a day for 7 days that is 2100 myth a full set of myth gear is 5010 so he should be about half way to a full set of myth gear for his class which is a higher ilvl than CT and includes accessories which CT doesn't.

1. Gear that drops has nothing to do with party makeup. 0-4 casters in group, chance of drop still the same.
2. That is not what Kicking system is for, your going to get reported and if it happens enough suspended or banned.
3. Is your friend asking for gear pieces, when instance starts? I only check other party members gear, if we are failing or I like the looks of it and want to see its name. I have no problem passing if someone asks for something, (unless I have been trying to get it myself for what seems like forever,which isn't often).

You roll the Need/Greed dice, you either get it or you don't.
It's all chance, just like the item itself being dropped.

I may just want something for vanity, but if I've done it 40 times and the item finally drops, you don't suddenly get entitlement to something just because it's an upgrade for you. I put in the time, I am just as deserving.

No. Thinking you're more entitled to a drop for whatever reason makes you selfish. You both did the battle, so you both equally deserve it. It's as simple as that.

Not every ilvl 90+ person is doing the run for fun. Maybe they have been farming ct for a certain item like your friend.
Be it for Glamour or Retainer or anything. The have the same right as you do.

So just because I run CT as a ilvl 100 tank, means im not allowed to need the warrior of Light gear because you just popped lvl 50 and desperately need it more than me?

Crystal Tower USED to take 40 minutes of my time back when the one item per week lock out was still in effect. Nowadays, CT takes over an hour because of the high volume of pitiful failures..... seriously, kill the skeletons..... kill the adds.... kill the bombs... kill the adds..... the situation is always the same, KILL THE ADDS. Shouldnt take 50 levels for newbies to realize they are responsible for killing whatever pops up as priority over the main boss.

Trust me, If i am queuing for Crystal Tower, 150 myth tomes is not enough to make me hit my head against the wall for over an hour. I am queued so I can get gear, whether it be for my main class, or for all 8 alternative classes which i have already leveled to 50. If I wanted just the myth tomes, i could farm Brayflox and bring in double the amount in the time one CT run would cost me.

OP, These are your options. Realize that i will NEED any gear piece in my class that i do not already own. AND I will greed every piece of gear that it will let me roll on (the ones I do not already have). There are 4 drops in the dungeon. There is a good chance i will place a roll on all 4 pieces.... Im still looking for all the MNK pieces, a Crimson Robe, DRG head and hands, Healer head and chest, Bard Chest.

So deal with the fact that i am entitled to roll on equipment I WANT, even though i have all my characters over ilvl 80. OR wait for another tank to queue in, i would assume thats gonna put another 10-15 minutes on your queue time...... and your odds of completion will plummet too, since i can MT the entire dungeon being overgeared for it. ...Actually if this was enforced in some way you would find a lot less people willing to run CT. I know I don't need some of the equipment, but I want to complete my sets of armor if possible. Call me completionist.
Additionally, I have some jobs around 40 that I want geared asap while running other jobs- I shouldn't have to explain why I want something or have to argue about it. If I want it, I greed and that should be end of story.

The point is, if you actually do indeed NEED a specific item to the point of tears and frustrations then you should run the dungeon/whatever as that job. If you can't (due to iLVL etc), then you're left at the whim of others, or you can gear up that job.
