And you may have a chance at getting gear that you don't need to sell to the GC for seals!

lolright. Deal with it or don't do story dungeons? You do realize that if majority of folks actually agreed to this, it would reduce the amount of people running the main story dungeons dramatically. Because majority of the player population have already completed the main storyline, and most of them, if not all of them, are skipping cutscenes.
I personally don't mind someone watching cutscenes, just as long as they don't mind getting left behind.
Every instance new and old, roulette or otherwise, is a speed run it seems. I feel really bad for all the new players doing these dungeons for the first time. It's not just CS they miss out on but treasures and map achievements. A good lot of people in the "community" need some attitude adjustments IMO. The amount of disrespect I've witnessed in duty finder and roulette towards new players is just plain depressing.
I actually don't care if you watch your cutscenes, it gives me a break from tanking and I can go take a piss or grab a drink.
Not reading 35 pages to see if someone has said the only thing that can really be said here: SE's fault. You want veterans to help with these fights and give rewards used in a long-term grind they're going to go into them with a veteran's expectations.
The alternative is how it used to be with being damn hard to get any help for them.
maybe because killing single mob for single mob is boring and mindrobbing?Every instance new and old, roulette or otherwise, is a speed run it seems. pulls of many enemies are fun: healer are busy, tanks are busy and dds get their eyegasms about hundreds of damage numbers flying around
have you ever seen it from that poit of view? maybe you should just adjust your boring style of playing the game..
I think you misunderstood her point. She was saying that every run is a speed run in that it gets barreled through and not explored. The most recent point being that in Brayflox HM, most parties don't bother getting the loot on top of the goblin house/tower thing. So newer players could potentially never know it is there. Just like the extra treasure chest in Halatali HM, or any of the chests in Praetorium.maybe because killing single mob for single mob is boring and mindrobbing?

She wasn't saying to pull single mob by single mob, just saying that when someone new shows up to a run that is a straight line from A to B with nothing more done than what is required to get to the boss, they miss out on the little things.

What I don't get is... why is everyone in such a hurry?! Why all the rushing and no patience? Is there a cat stuck up a tree somewhere and you have to rescue it? Did you put a pie in the oven, and it's starting to burn? Are you dying for the loo? :P I can understand if you've got a job and got limited time to play, it just feels like the prevalent mindset in this game (noticed it in a few other mmos I've played as well) is hurry, hurry, hurry, rush, rush, rush to do everything in the smallest time possible... As for cutscenes, I blame Square as well, not good design. It's not fair to be made to skip cutscenes, but it's not fair either to be forced to watch them!
I didn't start playing a Final Fantasy game not expecting there to be long cutscenes. Watch them. IDGAF, I'll wait.
Of course I don't assume that everyone reads at the same pace lol.
It was done out of interest because people (myself included) have been saying 'x takes this long and y takes this long' and I wanted to know how long the cs's generally take in total. If you would like to sit and time them, reading at what you believe is an average speed knock yourself out. As a point of reference, the average adult silently reads approximately 200 to 250 words per minute.
I don't even know what to make of your post lol.
