I'll give you the advice I was given by a GM. When the Duty commences ask everyone whether they're okay with you watching all of the cutscenes or whether they plan on blasting through in the quickest time possible and then decide on whether you will remain with that alliance.

If you don't want to then ask them to kick you or force a disconnect, thereby circumventing the current system. If you ask them in chat to kick you then the GM will see that if they're concerned about abuse of the vote kick feature.
