SE: Any plans on introducing Reraise?

Not sure if this has been posted before but one spell that White Mages enjoyed in FFXI was Reraise. It gave you the ability to auto-revive mid combat without having to return to the starting point of the zone. You were still weakened, subsequent levels of Reraise reduced the weakness from memory, but it gave the player the ability to salvage a potential wipe.

I don't propose the ability is usable by everyone, maybe limit it to healer archetypes as a cross class ability but I feel it's a tool the healer role is currently sadly lacking.

Higher levels didn't lower weakness they reduced the XP loss just like higher levels of raise did in that game.

I'd love to have this ability (or more classes that can cast raise) since as it stands now in a 4 man dungeon if the healer dies there is no one to raise them and in 8 man if the healer dies normally the second healer is too busy to cast raise.

...since as it stands now in a 4 man dungeon if the healer dies there is no one to raise them and in 8 man if the healer dies normally the second healer is too busy to cast raise.

About that, not always the case. If there is a ACN/SMN lvl 22+ they can raise in battle.

For the busy part, that is one of the reasons SWIFTCAST from THM is so important for healers and SMN.

Bingo. When I asked another WHM if it was really worth the work put in to level a THM to 26 just for Swiftcast, he told me outright that I would be doing my whole team a disservice if I did not - and just for the reason that you mention. I have a macro that does Swiftcast and Raise so that it's an instant, one-button action for me on PS4. The upside was that since I already had a BRD and I had to get the THM to 26, I went ahead and levels her to 30+ to have a BLM.

Yes I have that as does the SCH in my static and the SMN still doesn't change the fact that there are times when you don't have time to cast raise even with swiftcast. That and there is also the MP issue.

lol, the best time to Raise with Swiftcast is when you're running out of an AoE. As was said before, if macroed, it's only one button press and can be done on the run. And that's the first time I've heard the excuse "ACN/SMN/SCH has MP issues". XD

Yup, I agree with him. Yoshida himself said this on the interview that, one day, they will raise the level cap, add new spells and rebalance spells/skills/jobs.
