That Elzen could be Shiva now that I think about it. I'm looking at the rock face behind her and looking back at the video. Our man Yoshi P mentioned Shiva's story is very complex and starts in 2.3.
A interesting thought...
What if 2.3 Main story reveals that all Primals were originally humanoids but during sometime in their life they turned into Primals through some kind of ritual the Ascians gave them such as Ifrit was originally a Ancient Amalj'aa, Ramuh was orignally a Ancient Slyph, Garuda was originally a Ancient Ixal, and so on.
Said ritual likely would have had happened prior to 1.0's story then, since we seen them "come into existence/escape" during a battle long ago in the intro.A interesting thought...

If that is true, then Ascians sure know how to create such a majestic looking beard for Ramuh.A interesting thought...

For the older Primals yes but what if Shiva is the most recent primal to the family thus she only recently turned into the Primal Shiva in 2.3 storyline this would be a reason people discover Primals were originally Humanoids.
Well you know the process of evolution. The Sylph must have lost their beards over the generations![]()

Ho shyt, the Echo makes Primals! Actually, in all seriousness, this could be the big secret of the Echo. If you remember the sahuagin priest, and how the Ascian aren't much different. And how the primals aren't much different when you think about it. The Echo is the 'mark' of a baby primal. Goes a long way as to explain how the Warriors of Light (old and new) can't be enthralled. Primals can't enthrall primals. [/tinhat]

That idea's been on my mind ever since I first saw a screenshot of the original Odin without his helmet: he looked like a white-haired Elezen. Hopefully we learn more about the origin of Primals soon =D
