When someone does a dungeon and the tank or healer isn't playing their job well, it's perfectly fine to tell them that. Sometimes dungeons aren't even completable because of how bad a tank/healer can be to their group. It's perfectly fine to point out to these people how badly they are doing their jobs if that's the case, so why do people get banned for telling dps that their dps is low. I get the 3rd party program, playstation users don't have access and Yoshi P said use it but he hush hush., etc

Doesn't that seem like a terrible double standard though?

Not double standard.
Bad dps can be noticed in more ways than just with parsers.
For example a boss taking way much longer to kill than usual.

If, however, it's clear that there is harassment over low dps and that the harassers are using parsers to determine low dps, that is clear grounds for banning.

You don't get banned for telling them they dps is low. You get banned by telling them they dps is low because they only doing 200dps instead of 475. Get your facts right. Same if you tell a healer their numbers there is no double standard.

I didn't say notice. I said to give them criticism about it. There's free reign in saying OMFG HIS HEALER BLOWS. Or SCREW THIS WHM WHO CAN'T HEAL! But god forbid you inform someone they are doing 85 dps in t5, you are at risk of getting banned.

Not at all.

An observant player will see tank and healer faults much more easily, sure; While determining dps issues is more subtle, it can still be identified based on time to finish pulls.

The key argument is the use of unapproved 3rd party tools. Not necessarily how intrusive they may be.

The problem here is you're specifying actual dps numbers.
DPS, you're not killing fast enough = no ban

To know a player is doing 85 dps would mean you're using a third party tool, which is against the rules, which makes you subject for banning... do you see where this is going?
