    Don't Hate, Formulate

Tldr version: Don't hate. Be civil. Keep growing as people and as players.

    Longer version:
Please folks, from those that hate aspects of the patch to unhealthy levels to those hating the people that hate the patch, let's not hate each other.

    Wait...

    *casts Barfire*
*equips FF13 accessory with Random: Flame Eater effect*

Let's evaluate the patch over the next two weeks. Adapt tactics as necessary. Submit bugs and typos as we find them. And provide constructive and civil feedback. And if you know some folks in-game that never post on the forum, relay some of their thoughts too. I don't think I'm asking too much from the forum community.

Please don't insult each other for voicing opinions or SE for doing what they do. I know we're in internet land of anonymity and reduced consequences, but let's not deteriorate as a forum community (or at least not like this) or bait each other into hate.

Edit: I apologize about the thread title. The formulation part is in the above paragraphs.

Couldn't agree with you more OP. This is what we were all asking for...a challenge.

The patch is great. I just hate they didn't actually do anything about the lack of ways to level. In fact they essentially crippled our ways of leveling.

Good post, OP. All the complaining, hatred, and downright immaturity makes it easy to understand why the Japanese players blatantly ignore our existence in the game. :/

Nope, it's not just me. I never had any trouble communicating and having actual fun with JP players in XI, but it's VERY rare in XIV.

I'm definitely not the only one who notices this.

I liked the patch and i can see how they are setting the foundations for whats to come. Like the MP usage increase for mages, imagine having the same MP usage as before 1.18 and then SE adds bards and other ways to regenerate MP, playing a mage would be too easy like that, so of course they had to do something about it and increase MP requirements for spells so people would get a head start on how to play their class right instead of just spaming aoe heals with infinite MP.

I would love to be a part of these dream forums of which you describe! I am not usually a big endorser of acting mature or anything, but if our forum goers were friendly, constructive, and a little civil, we could get a lot more people from in game on here, once in a while, and giving their feedback as well.

But this is a forum for a game which anyone teen and up can play and post on. Someone that doesn't act in a way that I feel is ideal still has as much right to be here and play as I do. The best some of us can do is ignore them and lead by example in my opinion.

Kinda funny though, anytime I meet someone in real life that plays XIV (not that it is common right now ) we feel a kinship and become insta-friends lol. And here I am surrounded 100% by fellow XIV'ers and so many people are just nasty to each other. Perhaps funny is not the word i was looking for

but yes, great post OP. TY for saying what lots of us are thinking
