The thing is most people that underperform don't even realize to what extend that is, more likely than not we're not only talking about 10-20% but a far higher gap even with equal gear.
If those people would realize that and see numbers to work with they could improve by themselves and actually work on their damage.
No one expects anyone to play perfectly moderate is already enough but some people get rightfully kicked because they just don't care about their performance at all and this is just as rude as the person kicking them because they're dragging down a whole group because said people don't take any advice either as they "play how they want" and don't care if they give others a headache.
