DPS meters and why they're necessary

High dps doesn't mean squat if you can't dodge.

If they can't dodge they'll die... If they die, they won't be topping the charts.

Now I get your point that there are more subtle aspects to dpsing that aren't reflected in the charts but dps not dodging and therefore dying is reflected in the dps meter.
