Novus Stats for Bard?

So its pretty much put everything into Crit and Det like everyone else or you will suck?

Not really. The reason I'm going full crit det route is because I can swap out pieces, accessories/pants/chest, to cap ACC. The weapon stats will be final. ACC is useless above cap. I don't think you will suck if you don't max out the weapon on Crit/Det. I would just like not to have to deal with the weapon stats later.

What sort of materia would you need going your route ? The materia portion is where i am clueless

oh sorry i meant what sort of materia like Savage Aim IV, etc..
I currently only have 1 Alexandrite as tried to solo the morbol map and died so bad and lost the map in the process, sigh
Would have been nice if there was a mention that we needed other players to help, i am absolutely clueless about this Novus quest, lol

You can solo them all by yourself (with a healer chocobo). There's just a trick to each one.

The morbol's bad breath can be silenced with blunt arrow.

I totally forgot that it could be silenced, but bad breath can also be avoided.
The issue was when it sort of stun me first so i could not move then preceeded immediately with bad breath
Oh well, lost a map, redid a duty roulette and got a new one

And also that Bad Breath is nigh on impossible to avoid since I think he uses a Bind move first every time. At least that has been the case for me on all fights with the morbol.

Yes bind is the move i meant, there is no indication that he will cast it so its sort of instant and then since you cannot move he casts bad breath immediately after.
Back on the subject, any care to share what materia they will be infusing? I am clueless still, haha

I've been doing Crit/Det as my options. Down to the last 3 and already broke 4 of the final 8 >.<

Finished mine. 15 acc, 27 det and 33 crit. Just used up my det tier ivs I bought pre 2.25
