WHM vs. SCH -- What is the basic difference.

As a WHM, I'm a healer that can do some damage.

As a SCH, I can do alot of stuff, including heal.

SCH feels more like support to me. It's the lazy mans heal, but you get to do other things. I love them both, but really.....you don't realize how much that little fairy heals for you until you don't have her.

It's hard to really grasp it until you play them yourself, but they are different enough to warrant two classes.

SCH has to manage more skills + pet and pet skills. Has tons more options and he's clearly superior in single target healing.

WHM has less skills to use but he has to manage them well, being more MP limited than the SCH.

There's no better healer, it depends on your playstyle. Personally I fell great playing sch, and I woulnd't like playing whm the same.

I have never had Eos heal someone other than the person I've targetted, and SCH can bust out WAY higher numbers than a WHM ever could for ST, both over the length of a fight, and in a single GCD. Lustrate/Physick/RousedEmbrace absolutely decimates WHM in ST healingThere is no way for a WHM to compare to a SCH's single target. Period

When has anything ever been so serious you needed all that ST healing? It's almost like saying "SCH can eat more hotdogs than WHM" With PoM, Divine Seal on both Regens cast preemptively, and Cure2 spam is more than enough healing to surpass a SCH in a 15 sec window of healing spam(Benediction for OH SNAP moments). Yea I know you said throught the whole fight, but what good does it do SCH to be the better ST healer? It's not like WHM is flawed at it by any means so bringing it up is pointless. It's not like when comparing AoE heals. Now there's a no brainer.

Oh yea when ever I get ko'ed while I'm a Scholar I aerherflow. Quick cast my fairy all the time. I never heal my self or any else until Eos I'd up. I only use eos when I get ko'ed.

This is pretty much how I play scholar. Spam physik and embrace and use adlo when necessary such as raven's beak/blight on turn 9. Burst healing with lustrate only comes into play on certain phases of certain fights (ie raven's claw turn 9 or single tanking turn 8 when the dread is out).

SCH in no way is a "Lazy man's healer." It's just different management. You are basically controlling two healers at a time, if done right. If not done right, like running /autofollow afk, then yes, it's lazy. But when I play, it can get pretty hectic. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong.
