Correct this is the 2nd e-mail you receive after your product is already registered. I made the mistake of disregarding it as a "Thank you for registering blah blah" email that you get from absolutely everything you register for... The first time around.

I would have disregarded it again if I wasn't actively looking for the Emergency Removal Password. It would solve many issues if this step was forced before the software would access the game.

I hope this topic helps others learn from my mistake. If you haven't recorded your Emergency Removal Key... it's a good idea to do that now. In my case my phone app just happened to reset for no reason.
