I was always a fan of the idea that, if someone was new in the party, cut scenes could not be skipped by anyone. Ultimately this would be the most fair solution for any Duty Finder content where you have no control over party make-up.

If people want to watch cutscenes I usually have zero complaints. On a side note anyone who repeatedly suggest the cutscenes can be viewed in the inn tend to be completely absent minded of the very non immersive version the inn yields. The inn option is more along the lines of "OMG i skipped it by accident T-T.. and then someone tells you theres still hope friend. Watch it at the inn". It shouldn't be a dominate option to force people to skip cutscenes.
The thing is, you only need to watch the cut scenes once, but you'll be rerunning the dungeons up to infinite times. Would you rather have to watch the cut scenes in the inn or miss the boss fights ONCE, or be forced to watch the cut scenes every time up to an infinite number of times?
You OP, will run the dungeon once, then maybe be nice and wait for newbies to watch them for the next few runs, but once you get to the point of being on your 20th run you'll be rushing through it like everyone else.
It would really have been nice if you actually read some of the threads so far, all threads end more or less like this:
- Yes, it would be nice if all first-timers would be able to experience the two Castrums the way they were designed.
- But since SE decided to scatter the cutscenes throughout the dungeon (sometimes they even pop up during fights!) and because Castrum is an important part of DR if you want Animus, I can understand players who do NOT want to view them the 200th/300th/400th time very well.
- If viewing cutscenes and/or waiting for players to view them would be ENFORCED technically or by the GMs, Castrum would turn into ghost towns almost instantly. Players would do them once, and never again since there would be far more efficient ways of farming myths. This is NOT what you want. You would get a situation where waiting for Castrum for 4-6 hours as a DPS will feel like a GOOD day.
- The only way this mess could be sorted out is to change the cutscenes so there is only one large, continuous cutscene after defeating the final boss. Myth farmers could simply walk out of the dungeon, and first-timers could enjoy without pressure. This solution can only be implemented by SE, obviously.
- The best (but far from optimal) compromise that is available now is to let first-timers view the CS immediately if they want to and do not kick them, whilst the other players go ahead and trash the bosses. Since 99,9% of parties in Castrum are ridiculously overgeared, getting it done with 2, 1, or maybe no DPS at all is a viable option.

Story isn't over! wait there is more!!!
Had to go through Praetorium with 2 of my FC mates tanking so I could watch the cutscenes. And I was one of the healers. The first group still left us behind once we got to the last 3 bosses. Next group we were lucky and got 2 other folks who hadn't done Praetorium before, so most of the group held back. It sucks, but hey, I'm glad we got to give a good Praetorium story run to two others.
I read the whole thread, please don't assume I didn't because you misunderstood what I said.
First, they cannot be skipped by default on the first viewing, ie you cannot use the option in settings to skip the first time viewing of a cutscene, it will only skip one you have viewed(even if you manually skip it) previously. Second, it plays automatically, you have to WILLINGLY choose to skip it that first time. This tells you they were intended to be watched, and every player has the right to watch them. I never mentioned forcing them, but that doesn't mean players don't have a right to the experience that SE put there for that very purpose.
Nope, I still wait for anyone who needs to watch it. In fact every times when someone want to watch the scene, they usually speak up and we actually wait. I guess it's different for each server I guess. The thing is, you only need to watch the cut scenes once, but you'll be rerunning the dungeons up to infinite times. This is essentially what the "bad comprimise" that I mentioned as the last of my points is about. I agree with you that other players may not force first-timers to skip them (and kicking in this case is an open-end-shut case of unwarranted kicking, the GMs probably decide very quickly in favour of the first-timers).Second, it plays automatically, you have to WILLINGLY choose to skip it that first time. HOWEVER, the other way around, if you derive from that the other players must wait for the first-timers to finish watching CS before engaging with a boss - sorry, your arguments do not support that. This is what I meant with "there is neither a right to CS nor the right to speed-run". You get to watch the CS -> fine, but you will get left behind, no hard feelings. You skip the CS -> you can participate in the fights.
