Thread: Suggestion: Implement 1.0's storyline

tbh why would you want to play the 1.0 storyline when you can just watch it on youtube? You wont get any of the items that came from it and ARR plays different than 1.0 battle system. You can fight Nael in 2.2 with the second coil of Bahamut so why do you need to play 1.0 storyline?

I was thinking about the devs implementing sections of the original maps with the original camps with various pre-calamity quests and events using the echo. Would give new players new content and legacy players nostalgic vibes.

Maybe explore Mun Tuy Cellars using the echo? Revisit Coerthas in the past? Anxious flashbacks of Dalamud?

Dynamis-like instances?

This either says a lot about my memory or a lot about 1.0 , the only epic feeling scene I remember from 1.0 I'd the goobue fight at start of ul'dah, or the intro to limsa , don't really remember the main scenario being that interesting, admittedly I didn't get to cap so maybe I missed out on a lot

They did a couple chapters and I wish they would do more. They were fandubbing the old storyline and I dont know what happened.

I enjoyed 1.0's story quite a bit. Main, class, and grand company.

As far as re-implementing it? What a waste of development energy that would be -- you all could have played 1.0 just the same as the thousands of us who did.

If you want to "catch up" on the lore/past, there are plenty of resources for that as has been mentioned.

I just want to know what happened with the 1.0 Ascians. They were sure different than the ones we see now.
