Name Change: Has SE agreed to add this option in the future?

Hi, I've searched the forums and found numerous topics mentioning name changes or namingway items. I was just wondering if SE ever agreed to add that option eventually? I can't seem to find a response directly from them.

Also does anyone know anything about other name change options: chocobo, retainers, FCs, etc.?

You can change your chocobo name at the chocobo stable in Central Shroud, where you obtained your companion.

I can't seem to find the person who changes chocobo name. I don't see that option at all.

Check with the chocobo people in the main city states, it should be the option under "renting a chocobo"

Yea it's the chocobo stables in the main cities that let you rename them.

I do remember it being said it was being looked into, not sure if it was ever directly said yes to.
