    Macro Items - Can you?

    I've kinda wanted to play with macros where it would have you uses a Mega Potion of ___ prior to an ability...

    Like VIT for Thrill of Battle
    STR for Fracture
    MND for Regen

    etc.

    I see macro guides that say something to the effect of

    /item "ITEM NAME" (Target)

    But doesn't seem to work. Does it exist?

    So far as I know, /item is from 1.0.

    I don't know of any way to use an item in a macro, and from what I've been able to dig up, there doesn't seem to be any way right now.

    This is a source of great frustration for me. Potions and consumables simply aren't useful enough to sacrifice a hotbar slot for (and consuming them directly from the inventory is way too time-consuming), but they COULD potentially be useful as part of other macros. For example, a "Fight or Flight" macro that will use a STR potion if "Fight or Flight" is still on cooldown.

    SE really needs to get /item back into the game. I'm honestly perplexed as to what possibly reason they could have had for removing it.

    I'd like to see individual mounts get the macro treatment, as well. You can macro Mount Roulette, but you can't macro specific mounts. Why???

    Well I keep seeing these pots so cheap on the MB, seems like a wasted item creation if your not gonna make them more user friendly. Playing on PS4, there is a finite number of slots that I'm comfortable using.

    Agreed. If /item were implemented, I would buy/make a bunch of stat-boosting potions, then tie them into my macro that I use for all of my cooldown buffs.

    Heck, I'd even make full use of the poisons in PVP in the same fashion.

    Macro flare to use a mega potion of intellegence before it's cast? yes please.

    No reason whatsoever.

    1. It increases combat effectiveness.
    2. It makes stat potions actually worth buying, allowing Alchemists to make money on more than Tomes, Rods, and mats for other Crafters.
