    Disappointment.

Hi, my first post here. So I bought the game about a week ago, mainly because I didn't have any games for my ps4 yet. I have't really played any MMO extensively but I always wanted to get into these kind of games. I'm a big fan of Final Fantasy in general so this seemed like a ideal choice to give a try.

I don't know how I managed to level my character to level 30 because the experience has been mind numbingly boring so far. I knew there would be quite a lot of fedex quests but I had no idea that all of the quests would be like this, just same stuff over and over again. There is literally no feeling of progression or accomplishment. How do you guys keep the game interesting and rewarding? This is a serious question because I really would want to enjoy this game, but I have no idea how it is currently possible.

    Hi,
For the forum, it is nice to link a character to your profile

About the game what do you like to do? Try to find a Free company (guild in this game) to be able to chat with people and do things together.

How did you level up? Did you just kill stuff or did you follow the main story line?

I find that for the 1st class the game is a big tutorial until you reach level 50.

I was invited to guild quite early on, but I left it few days ago. Almost all active members were at max level, so I quess there is no real reason to play together because I'm still at so low level compared to them. So I have mainly played solo doing main questline stuff and some side quests every now and then.

But how exactly the game is the game different when you get to the max level? Suddenly I don't have deliver fish and carrots from one end of the map to another?
Why I have to play two weeks of tutoril in order to get to the actual content. That just seems incredibly bad game desing.

What you're playing now is actual game content. Not only endgame content is counted as content. Also, if you get thrown directly into those endgame fight, you will have no clue what to do.

Finding a Free Company that suits you better might help a lot. Some are really focused on just endgame content. Others are about helping FC-mates through the lower level content. A group whose focus isn't on the content you're doing isn't going to be much help. There are forums set up for each of the game's servers. The one for whichever server you're on would be a good place to ask about Free Companies if you want to find one that's more compatible than your last one.

yet still some people don't know how to use their skills etc.
so maybe it should be a 2 month tutorial

The real main reason to play these games, is the communication, and friendships you will build. A guild is quick to invite, but not too quick to help. Also you have to learn to branch out and ask for help, and such.

Having said that, that is why I play and continue to play. Also it is challenging, the dungeons not the quests, and exciting at time, again the dungeons not the quests.

If you can, set up a Skype or some sort of communication account, that is only for gaming and try that out.

Best of luck and happy adventuring.

What content are you doing, exactly?

Main story quests? (denoted by meteor logo)
Levequests" (found at camps and adventurer guild)
    Guildhests? (most camps)
    Dungeons?
    FATEs?
    Grand Company content?
Have you unlocked an advanced job for your class, or switched classes?

Give us more info on what you HAVE done, perhaps we can help identify what you can do to make things more interesting.

I have done main questline the most. Not sure about guildhests but I've done pretty much everything else. Dungeons are probably the ones that I've had most fun with, especially the ones that have lots of little gimmicks in them. grand company guests and guildleves on the other hand are just meaningless grinding. Fates were fun at first, but now I usually won't even bother with them, there is just way too much of them and too frequently.

I'm going go for Black mage job, I started as thaumaturgist so I guess i'd have switch to archer next.

What server on you on, by the way?

That might help you because players from your server might see this post and be willing to help you out and stuff.
