    So.. we want an easy mode to practice (no rewards), so we learn the mechanics to do the normal mode (with rewards)

    Hmm.. How about those who are ready to get their toes dipped into Coil, just get into it, and practice, and learn.. it's the same already with normal mode.

    No need to make everything easier in this casual game..

    If you want to get better at a specific thing, you practice and fail and learn until you succeed. And no, DF doens't count. You want to down everything? PF, FC, LS.

    If you still can't beat it down, change group.

    Then once you are at ease with one trial/dungeon, you can DF, for the real challenge lol

    oh! bad players - good players - there will always be a mix of both.

    I think the issue that some players are having in the game now is that (aside from Atma-novus quest) most of the content that we are being funneled into is group oriented.

    I learned Titan EX in about 5 failed runs. 3 were to the heart, and 2 were to the super bombs. The issue wasn't that I was super elite and everyone else was trash, nor was it that I wanted to be carried. It came down to the simple fact that with every PF group up to my win, we had one or two people get caught out of position. And that alone was enough to diminish the spirits of the "alive" players and/or prompt someone who had been playing for hours to just give up and leave the instance.

    I love the mechanics of this game, but without a solid static (which is a tug-o-war in and of itself since i have weeks where i get pulled away from the game) it's hard to get anything of note done. Aside from atma farming....which is quite possibly the easiest (but most frustrating) thing to do in the game.

    like it was said earlier. there is a 15% echo on top of the higher gear that was not available at the original installment of 1st coil. if you still do not have the dps or health then you better keep working on your gear and/or rotation. more echo is going to make transitions more annoying than it already is if your team is pushing high dps.

    as was also stated, if you want to practice and learn mechanics, then make a pf group. stop being lazy, hoping people will cater/carry you. You have the option to set a learning group up or find a group willing to help. dont sit around begging se for things to be easier than it already is when you have no real desire to go out and do it yourself

    What do you expect from an extreme node battle? A pillow fight? They are labeled as the toughest fights the game for a reason. If every fight for nerfed because someone thought it was tough then we'd have no challenge at all. Besides Titan Ex easy would just be Titan hard. So I'm not sure how this fits here.

    I used that as an example to show that with the fights in this game, going about story progress or anything of the sort solo is a huge roll of the die because you arent just attempting to expose yourself to the mechanics of a given fight. You are also crossing your fingers to get other players with a similar outlook/temperament as yourself. ex: I can log in, and setup a learning party. I could get 4 people who just logged in as well and are itching to tackle the content. I can also get 2 people who have been trying for hours to down the content. All of that comes into play with how many attempts we go. Which in turn, feeds into the frustration and gauge of if/how that player can even get past said content.

    As far as using Titan EX. I feel that Titan EX and T5 were about the same. Most parties get about half way through then just get floored.

    Do you know what items drop in Turns 2, 3 and 4 in the Second Coil of Bahamut? I don't take you as a dumb person so I know you're aware of it. Which begs the question; why are you giving gear away for people doing easy versions of what is supposed to be the hardest content?

    Story mode is the best suggestion. Making it so people can see the story without having to deal with punishing mechanics that stop them from getting that experience. Although, it doesn't really matter because Echo will only be applied to already outdated content, and that's what the purpose was.

    I can see this suggestion catching Yoshi's attention and consideration.

    The thing about Coil is that it is very deliberately tuned so that a low % of players will be able to beat it initially. This is a design decision. They did not "accidentally" make it too hard. First Coil is already the Easy Mode Coil version (echo buff) and the developers say they are currently happy with the number of players clearing Turn 5, even right now. I don't know if there's any chance of them actually introducing an easy mode (or maybe "story mode" is less offensive) alongside the Third Coil, but we've certainly seen a high level of responsiveness to the community before. It would definitely be for no rewards, though. Every decision made about Coil seems to treat controlling gear drops as the #1 priority, and it's clear that they want to keep these low. If the point of story mode is that people can see the story without challenging the true version, I can't see any reason to set up this content to be farmed, either.

    Not like they say, coil is 20% of the player base all get 100 pieces of BiS gear. Then here's an alternative for the rest of the 80% if not 100% of the player base to enjoy that too has 100 pieces of rewards.
