Some Ideas stemming from only 45 minutes of playing 1.18

So I got about 45 minutes in this morning after my update took all night. But in that 45 Minutes I had some minor epiphanies about ideas that would be interesting to see implemented into FFXIV.

The First one, I believe has already been suggested, but I feel its still valid, especially now with "Keep Moving while sheathing/unsheathing weapons" and that is the ability to automatically turn on and off active mode if you are in gauged with a monster.

IE, You target a monster and attack, Automatically pull weapon and attack, when the monster dies if no other monsters are in combat with you, you sheath the weapon. If a monster aggros you and you can see them change to red on your screen, it automatically pulls the weapon for you.

This feature would be enable/disable in the menu just like everything else.

The Second is one I do not believe has been suggested yet. And that is a Pre-loaded Cutscene for Teleporting Load Screens. This would be similar to the loading screen from games like Mass Effect where you see the Mass Effect gate glowing and rotating while the new area is loading then when its done the ship sparks up and flys off into that direction of the new area. The best examples of what would be best for this loading screen is "When teleporting you see the Aether as a portal sucking you towards the new location" and when you get there you "Snap into place"

Visually the best example I know of would be the scene of Cloud rushing off to face Sephiroth in the final scene of Final Fantasy VII.

    Video is related.

Or maybe something like the scene in the FFXIV opening where the guys getting sucked into the Echo.

I had another one but its lost me for the time being, it'll come back.

I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

    Don't boss us around.

I like the idea of a little more action on the loading screen. At the very least a progress indicator would be nice.

I like #1 but #2 I think would be a low priority. Also, maybe I just forgot since I havet played much while waiting on the patch.... but npc's names seem a lot bigger now?

I would also recommend that auto-attack locks on to an enemy, similar to how we usually initiated fights as melee disciples with our basic attack skill. As it stands right now, when you auto attack, your character can run around freely with his back turned to the enemy until he/she uses a skill. Its just a tad clunky.

Definitely would like auto-engage if something is beating me up. Before my method of entering active mode was just using a basic attack lol. Of course when I have some hours clocked in i am sure it will feel as natural as the old system (not that AA now couldn't do with some tweaks!)

As for the TP mini CS, I would absolutely love that! But if it is too much to ask at the moment, I could also do with a little fade out/in trick. Just locks the two screens as two images, one would fade out while the other image faded in. Like you were just closing your eyes or something. Could be simple but I have no idea how loading screens are programmed, but good animation is just clever smoke and mirrors!

If they are using your character its already loaded into memory so it wouldn't be a big deal to get it swirling through a black screen with a glowing vortext animation like they use for skills going.
