Maker's Muse description, Synthesis spelled Syntheses, And false descriptions.

Just as title says, the word synthesis is spelled wrong in its description of what it does. Atleast it is in the crafting menu while I was using it.

On a side note...theres alot of abilities that have a description of "Temporarily reduces chance of success..." and lists no benefits from using it. Is that wrong? I mean why would I want this?

Inspiration

Temporarily reduces chances of success to improve quality of next synthesis. Most effective for decorations.

Just something to note (I'm not logged in, so I can't check the context), but syntheses is the plural form of synthesis. Could it be they're using the plural form?

As Obsy mentioned, this is indeed the plural form. Instances where the singular form is used in description text for commands either refer to the "current synthesis" specifically, or have the noun being used adjectivally, such as in "synthesis progress."

In the above example, the benefit would be the improved quality resulting from successful actions executed while the Inspiration effect is in place. I can understand how the current phrasing could be somewhat confusing, and so I've slightly reworded it for clarity's sake. The change will go live in the next patch release. However, I am unable to locate any of the other multiple instances you mentioned. If you have any more specific examples, please let us know. Thanks!

It's not so much an inconsistency as a clue - some crafting abilities are 2-4 (but usually 3) turns, and some are one shot. I never actually noticed that the spelling was different until you mentioned it, though.

Thanks for the reply. In the case of "reduces chance of success", I always figured that to be a Risk vs. Reward scenario, where the action may give the Player, say, Higher Quality (like on Bold / Careful Synthesis), but at the *cost* of a Higher Chance of Failing the next action as well.

Is that not the case then? It's merely an Improved Chance of Success? (because that would be sweet!)

Because on "Hand of the Gods," I *have* noticed a higher chance of Failure Per Action attempt, but with the promised No Loss in Durability as a reward. Please confirm for sure.

Also, if you're asking for more examples of "reduces chance of success" for Synthesis Actions, here are some more to change:

* Alchemy -> Hand of the Gods

* Clothcraft -> Grand Design
