Pet Hotbar Help, please (PS4)

I have been playing as a WHM and am now trying out SMN. I am having issues with the hotbar.

I can only cycle through two of them when I have my pet summoned. I'd like to have the ability to cycle through all my hotbars when my weapon is sheathed but am not able to cycle through them if I have a pet summoned.

Under Character Configuration & Cross, I have the following selected:
Enable auto hotbar switching when drawing/sheathing weapon.
Enable customization for when weapon is sheathed (all hotbars are selected here)
Enable customization for when weapon is drawn (Hotbars 1 and 7 are selected here)

I've tried checking and unchecking boxes everywhere. I am getting frustrated and can't figure out what I am doing wrong. TIA!

For me since one of the last 2 little updates the pet bar has vanished completely and I've been unable to get it back haha but I've not tried much and have been using other classes but will it be resolved by going into the configuration and hotbars, on ps4 btw

OP on my last post on the linked thread , i did a mini walkthru on a nice setup for pet actions on the hot bar, hope this helps. i cant live without it!

What he said. The checkbox is called "Use pet hotbar."

Even though you can't quick cycle through your hotbars while using the pet hotbar, you can still manually select them by holding R1.

You can put pet abilities on any hotbar or cross hotbar.
