Yes, it stands. There's a language barrier, that can affect things. You don't know whether he includes bard under melee. The game does; the accuracy caps are the same. There's 2 caps: melee and magic. Bard fits under melee.

It's not semantics. Physical and melee are nowhere near the same thing. Melee refers to close quarters combat. The proper opposite, in this situation, is ranged. Physical literally means just that, physical. Hitting the enemy with physical attacks, ie a spear or arrows. In that case, a bard would be classified the same as a dragoon.

The game classifies them under physical, not magical.
