    Stat Points by Job (SCH/SMN Primary Example)

    Hello All,

    Has anyone seen from SE any plans to separate the stat point allocation by Job instead of by Class?

    I know as of now we can use Hymns, though it'd be nice to not have to or if they cost much less to purchase.

    I'd be happy if:


    1.) The cost of Hymns was dropped to 1,000, instead of 10,000.

    2.) We could have sets of points per job, and not per class.

    3.) We had the ability to just reset our stat points via an NPC in the city states, to avoid exploitation of this (IE not continually changing stats throughout your travels to suit needs) for 1,000 GIL.

    I mean for now to ease my sanity I'm going to just use WHM for healing and run as SMN until WHM bores me too much, but it'd be awesome to be able to just pick between BLM/SMN based off of the Duty or Raid, or SCH/WHM likewise. I like to utilize WHM for speed runs for example where massive amounts of mobs are being pulled at once, but SCH as a MT healer on Raids Adlo <3.

    My BLM is king on speed myth farms, my SMN is king on legit raid content like coils (not to say BLM is "bad" it's just not capable of the amazing dmg sustained of SMN in single target)

    You know what I would want. I would like to SE to come out and give us facts about stats example one point of Crit increase critical hit by .25% or 1 point DEX increases parry rate by .1%. How much does critical hits increase when double shot buff is on.

    I vote no....

    The game needs some aspect of player choice. Too much is spelled out for you (such as what gear to wear). Play scholar a lot? Then it may be in your best interest to allocate some points to support that job. Prefer summoner? Likewise, best allocate your points to support that job.

    I understand why some players want this, but part of the joy of building a character is making choices. There is already very little differentiation amongst players of the same job outside of what part of the end-game gear progression you're currently at.

    For a game that has a big selling point of "level up and enjoy every single class!", it's kind of ass-backwards that you can't play Scholar and Summoner efficiently.

    Choice is great and all, but when it goes in the opposite direction of a major selling point of the game, then that's when I have to question it.

    I think it's more of a choice when you can choose WHM or SCH rather then "player choice" to go with WHM because you put INT in ARC.

    In fact, you'll be playing more hours since you have to level both jobs and their corresponding sub classes, SE has got to love that!
