    Self-Repair feels so satisfying.

So I'm still leveling up all of my DoH classes and I finally got to the point where I have found it useful to start trying to repair my own gear, thanks to 2.28.

Oh my god, where has this been all my life?

Just having the ability to repair my gear whenever and wherever I want without having to spend any money... it just feels so freaking good.

The only thing that sucks is that if you're in a dungeon and you move while you're repairing, your hot bars may get blank out.

Sounds like a bug that they'll fix soon. Even then, they added so many QoL changes that it outweighs that bug. Easier to repair, repairs up to 199%, and allowed in duties? Worth. So much worth.

Oh snap that sucks. You will also save tons of gil. By repairing it your self.

savea ton of Gil? Many you guys are penny pinchers, nickel and dimeing sons of a whoreson. I spent 1500 at I needed to severely repair on my Warrior, that's not a big deal.

You technically could always repair your gear with crafting classes, even before 2.28. The only thing that version 2.28 added was the ability to repair gear to beyond the 100% durability rating.

So speaking in a crafty way, you spent 3k~ gil, since crafters repair to 199%

I am a winner, even though I sometimes fail.

You can't compare it like this though as to get 199% (-ish) status you'd need to use two dark matters in two repairs plus you need still to purchase (or exchange for GC seals - either way it's not free) the dark matters for repairs. Still - self repair was always cheaper and gil saving - I've never used NPC repairs. And this "Penny pinching" (which is actually 30 - 65% saving on each repair!) will add a lot over time ...

Main thing 2.28 did was making self repairs less annoying; no need to switch Class over and over, or go through lists of your gear. Just hit repair and repair all you have equipped.

101%+ repairs also saves a small amount of waste on Dark Matter, as well as making things even more convenient. NPC repairs always based the cost on the amount repaired, while Dark Matter made no change between repairing from 0% or 5%. Now, you can just hit repair all without any waste of Dark Matter; everything that shows up on the list is <100% condition anyway, so if you have some pieces that are 1% and some that are 90% (very common with DoH/DoL, since they share accessories) it makes no difference.
