Lack of LB

I tend to try to wait when we're in raids in case things go a bit hectic. Sadly, other dps i've seen just use it the moment it reaches 3 or so..

That I get and don't get. Use it when it's up mentality. Depending on the fight I can see the use to use it early, maybe to push a phase. For the most part though on my DPS classes, I chose to use it at the 20% mark or lower.

Because the average DPS is brain dead, their like robots. Most of the time you have to literally tell them to use it or they let you carry them.

Yeah, because the average tank/healer is always an awesome player ...

Have seen more than enough braindead tanks and healers for sure. Bad players are just bad players, no matter what. Them playing a tank/healer doesn't magically raise their skill level. And there are loads of braindead players spread out across all classes.

If you don't need it for a certain phase (Bray HM to avoid the last bomb) then using it as soon as it pops will have the same effect as waiting. You might not get the kill with it from using it early but it is also possible that you will get another LB if you use it right away.

Was in a Cutters Cry, heals cried for LB on Chimera, BRD pops it! Super EPIC. MNK was like "da fuk..."

If you call for LB yes, please call out the melee to do so lol.

I'm sorry but for 95% of fights in this game, dps is the one to use lb. I agree with the OP, having to remind dps to use the lb is like reminding a tank to hold threat. It's their job. Dps doesn't even really have any real responsibility it most fights other then to simply do damage(coil being one of the few exceptions...).

^ A thousand times this.... I can't tell you how many times I've watched a dps hold on to an lb like it was a super finisher in Street Fighter......FYI, there will be no sunburst effect when you kill the boss with an lb, that is all....

Good point, but even now, most of the time you don't need to save it for the bomb. If the DPS is good enough through the duty, I tell em to use it on the boss before that third bomb phase. He dies you win, no big bomb.

As for getting another LB I can see that, however that takes a bit of time. On a longer fight it would be a good idea, T2 Enrage comes to mind. Pop LB soon as the program executes, then by 20ish percent you have another to finish em off. Those situation call for specific "tactics" of LB use.

For most runs, using a LB right when it pops might not be the best. Guess it depends on what you are doing.

I was doing small duty roulette today and a level 50 drg was in the group for Toto-rak. Go through first boss, LB was full and not used. Get to 2nd boss, bar still full and I say:

"hey drg, how about using LB?"

"No"

"Why not?"

"Best to save it for 2 bar"

"you do know that it will fill up between now and the last boss, and the 2nd bar doesn't open until that fight right?"

"..."

"how do you get to 50 and not know that?"
