    Unable to download patch files. [30413] [20495]

    I just came back to the game after about a 6 month long break, but I've been forced to play on my PS4 because my PC won't patch the game properly. I've tried the very few solutions I was able to find online for this, and nothing's worked. I've tried reinstalling multiple times to no effect, disabling both my firewall and antivirus, running in administrator, hard-wiring my pc to my modem, you name it.

    I just can't understand why I was able to download 2.1 just fine when it released, and 2.2 perfectly well on my PS4, but my PC is just outright refusing to patch this time around.

    Update: earlier when I was attempting to patch 2.28 on my PC, it was still giving me these two error codes, but it told me "one or more version update files are corrupted", and also gave a list of solutions (which, surprise surprise, none work). The solutions included deleting temporary internet files, disabling or changing my proxy (which is non applicable), updating my network adapter drivers, or updating my modem / router's firmware (all of which are up to date).

    I've tried completely uninstalling / deleting all patch files and reinstalling yet again to no avail. But it did bring me a new problem! Yaaay!

    When I try to patch now, nearly every other attempt will result in this:



    My download speed for the patcher will start out at around the normal 3mb/s, and steadily drop .10mb/s every second until the server becomes "unresponsive". For anyone curious about my connection:



    Not the greatest, but I shouldn't be having that sort of problem with the patcher.

    I'm really close to just un-subscribing from the game again.

    Im have the exact same problem man, ive been bouncing around my ISP and SE "support" center all morning its so frustrating!

    Same issue, this is really bad. I called my ISP and they made me run a speed test with them, which says my connection speed is at its maximum. Yet my download on the client will not go above the 0.4mb/s, and even there it easily drops to 0.0 until the client crashes. I don't know what to do anymore.

    I also have this issue. I'm beginning to wonder if Square-Enix actually knows what the problems is - as after looking up the respective error codes last night and this morning - I haven't found a single thread where a conclusive resolution has been given; only closed threads that haven't resolved and people leaving the game because they literally cannot play it.

    Of the few people I have read that have fixed it - the solutions are too sporadic to be helpful to anybody. They range from DNS changing, changing files out of read-only mode, reinstalling the game and even checking to see if they're subscribed to the game.

    Exact same problem here. SE 'support' is completely unhelpful. Have tried everything mentioned by them and various online sources.
    Their client obviously has issues maintaining a connection.

    Have now been unable to play for 2 weeks. Won't be renewing my subscription. Too bad, I was actually enjoying this game.

    SE - you need to fix this.

    In the same boat - also thinking of just giving up at this point. Nobody seems to be able to give a direct answer.
