Question About Atma

Don't worry guys, this isn't "another Atma complaint thread *groan*". I'm not a fan of Atma grinding, but I can tolerate it...

I currently have 2 relic weapons (Stardust Rod and Artemis Bow) at Zenith. I started the Atma quest with my BLM and have so far gotten 9, all with BLM. Because the F.A.T.Es are quite often low level, I've started doing most with BRD as I can attack straight away without having to stand still and cast, by which time the enemy could be killed. I was Atma grinding for 7 hours yesterday without a single drop with BRD. Since I started with BLM, can I only get Atma when using Stardust Rod Zenith, or will any Zenith weapon suffice? My longest grind was 8 hours with BLM, but it looks like I'll be grinding longer for my next one at this rate.

It should work with any Zenith, as I farmed ATMA for both my DRG and SMN mostly as SMN and got them.

...Since I started with BLM, can I only get Atma when using Stardust Rod Zenith....

I have similar experience, maybe farm with your lucky job .... ^^;
Anyway I am sure you can obtain ATMA with zenith regardless the job and which job initialed the quest as I have obtained ATMA by different jobs.

Thanks for clarifying guys, good to know all that time grinding hasn't been wasted
I like to swap between the two jobs, depending on the F.A.T.E.

@Starbolt - Just keep at it mate. It took me a while to get my first, but since then I've had 4 from my first F.A.T.E of the day. I find its best to go as a party too instead of being on your own. And, if you're not using DF, you can summon your Chocobo too.

Problem is the low drop chance. If you are out of luck it takes so long to get one that you think something is wrong. After I got my Animus, it took me 2 weeks to get another ATMA at random with another char wearing a Zenith weapon. I also thought something is broken lol. But it wasn't. Just a quite low drop chance where you solely depend on luck. You can have 2 in 2 FATES, you can have none in 200 FATES.
