Wouldn't that cut your damage though? I mean at that point you'd be better off doing fire 2.

I thought it would too, and argued with someone on the forums about it until I tested it myself. And I was wrong. As long as raging strikes/convert is down, infinite flare is higher dps. The only time that the normal fire II rotation trumps it is when you a.) have raging strikes/convert up or b.) are fighting something like 12 mobs or more, or c.) have to move and hard casting flare isn't really feasible.

The other issue is since flare is supposed to drain your mp, this isn't really a rotation that the devs intended (speculation). Because of this, its always at risk to get nerfed.

You can do infinite Flare this way as well.

Sleep is needed for when doing lockouts...
