Blacklist size expansion

So i'm glad that i am able to block those RMT bots just with a right click and a press. It's very convenient. ...What is inconvenient though is that my list is at 200/200. And it is full of nothing but bots. And more keep popping up in city chats and tells. I know expanding the list would only be a small help to us on our end... I wish there were a way to just block them entirely before they post stuff.

In short: Please consider raising the blacklist size above 200.

What will you do when THAT gets full? Chances are, the RMT you originally blocked were only using that character name for a couple days at best. I think they make a new character, spam everyone for a while (until they are BL'd), dump the character (not delete, because that would show up on you BL), and do it again with another name.

I only come to this conclussion because I used to drop the first 20 names of my BL when I logged on and never heard from them again. My point is, when you get to 600 names on your BL and it's full, what then? Ask for a bigger BL?

I asked a GM about an easier way to report people and complained about my bl being full, the GM said you can delete them from your blacklist after a few mins, as they might have been banned already, so now I do a full BL purge whenever I'm getting close to 200. I also tried myself and it was true, they do ban bots a few mins after they start spamming, they have people monitoring 24/7.

Need the WoW report system. Everyone gets a "report" option instead of blacklist. Report puts people on a temporarily blacklist for you and if enough people report the same person that person just doesn't show up in tells or shouts. Then the name is reported to GM staff. It works with normal players as well as RMT, but for normal players, because the chat ban is temporary, they can just wait it out. RMT are constantly revolving characters and creating new ones, so they aren't online long enough to wait out a chat ban. I'm not exactly sure how it works internally, but with the report feature in WoW, there's very little spam.

Agreed! Also, it would be nice if the list had a "clear all" option in case I need to clear out old blisted botters"

A better option would be some sort of mass clearing - either dropping the top X number or check-boxes that let us manage multiple names at once.

I honestly gave up on the effort to keep B listing RMTs shouts/tells/ yells.
I just put myself on "busy" status now and continue my day.
If ppl need to talk to me they will either use the fc chat, Ls chats or just plain out shout/ yell towards me.
They will make an effort if it is important right?
Lame solution but it's better than the current one of b listing till full then deleting.

Yup. I always remove twenty names a week. More if some of those names are (deleted) (which means the RMT deleted their character, not banned).

They need to add checkboxes or a way to select multiple names to delete at once, or a blacklist purge. A larger blacklist wouldn't hurt my feelings though.
