Just curious if anyone else feels the way I do about this issue.

The lockout on 1 item a week in the coming CT is retarded. Here is why, we have this wonderful system where we can change classes on ONE character. I love this concept and it just seems like the devs do everything in their power to hinder what I think is one of the best features of the game. CT doesn't even drop the most powerful loot in the game yet it is under such tight restrictions. I want to be able to have at least decent gear on my classes. I want to be able to play all classes. Right now its better if i make a character for each class so I can gear them up in Coil.

I'm not saying make all content farmable but I do feel that CT should be. To me it should be a way to get gear on your off classes so you can do other content like the coil on any class that is needed if you aren't in a static.

Same restriction as before this was know to be coming. I personally dont mind at all the 1 gear restriction. Right now you can my i90 on every class with that you can do coil. Then you go with your main class to coil and gear it up to i110 and even a sub class can gear it to i110 with a bit of time. Then CT gear will gear even more your other classes to i100. Also dont forget that CT2 will drop oil and sand that can be use to upgrade the soldiery gear from i100 to i110. Imagine having unlimited supply of oil and sind from CT2, would anyone get the actual gear that drop from there or just simply farm oil and sand?

you can buy a sol piece once/week or every other week. and you can get a CT piece once/week...so why not complain on sol cap too, while you're at it?
then there's ofc 2nd coil gear...and if you're not doing that, you don't really need ilv100 gear anyway...cause titanX can be done with ilv75, and levi is easier. and for Twintania, you basically just need ilv80-85.
they will uncap sol/ct, later; then you can farm sets for all your jobs.
actually i think they should just do item-lock on coil loot also...cause it's really freaking annoying that you can just do each turn once/week, and then not being able to help other ppl out; which just restricts it to a few skilled statics, leaving the rest of the ppl with shitty pug groups. Then i wouldnt need to get standard subscription, just so i can make an alt char, just so i can help FC group.

You have to think of it like this.

CT is most likely an i100 item, i100 items are obtained through soldier tomes currently, you can only obtain 450 soldier tomes a week, in essence you can only obtain 1 itema week. CT offers players the ability to speed up their gearing up via obtaining a piece of loot from CT and then obtaining a piece of loot through tomes.

If I am not mistaken, at the start of CT sands/oils will not be obtainable but maybe around 2.4 or 2.35 when a majority of people have obtained at least one set of CT gear they will add the sands/oils as another once a week item to encourage players who alrdy collected their CT set to continue playing CT to obtain an oil and sand.

Because here is the thing, this time around CT should be handled better because even with a one week limit placed on oils/sands that will most likely be added halfway through 2.3, it will entice players moreso to spam the heck out of CT because everyone will have the opportunity to obtain their own unique sand or oil and not have to fight against 7 others in hopes of getting one. Instead an alliance of 8 could enter CT spam it for the week and guarantee everyone getting a sand/oil.

I doubt anybody will use myth for gear at 2.3 since same gear can be obtained through the hunts.

When they took the loot limit off of the current CT, people got all the armor they wanted and then stopped running it, and the wait times, even for tanks, were longer than they used to be. I'd rather they lock loot to keep CT relevant so that there are always people running it.

To be fair, CT was never really 'relevant'. It launched with ilvl 80 gear, when we have ilvl 90 myth gear available to us. The only reason most people run it is for the styles these days.

Back when there was a weekly limit. i80 gear was relevant because it was an upgrade from i70 gear while you progress toward i90 gear.

since then, coil 1, ct1, and now coil 2 have been the same. myth was capped and now sold is cap.

if ct2 is just now surprising you, then idk.

anyways, everyone who pretty much responded brought up valid points. cause if there was no loot look out people will farm all their sands/oils/tomes/and gear as fast as possible then ct2 will become desolate.

if youre that mad about gearing alt jobs, start running the hm dungeons and ct1 for basic gear, get into coil/EX's, and get the i90+ drops for them. with echo, coil 1 and the EXs are a joke.

or you could wait for ct2 to remove lock out when ct3 is released. or do you NEED to have all your jobs with i99+ cause you know, youre downing t9 with them all.
