    Because tone matters.

Another thing to keep in mind is that in a competitive environment people tend to "act more certain than they feel". This quote is from the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument. It's good reading, especially if you really DON'T understand why someone might act in a defensive manner when advice is given.

One last point about advice: the tank was a random player, to them, the other party members are random players also. So why should the tank assume any of the other party members' advice is WORTH taking?

On top of that, I happen to think that Blood For Blood from a MRD in a low level dungeon isn't that bad. When healers can DPS their way through it and tanks don't even need to use mitigation, Blood For Blood may be just fine.

Here's my piece of advice, don't let yourself get so worked up about these things and let people play the way they want. Even well-meant advice often comes across as condescending in a game environment. Did the tank ask for any of your advice - "Why am I taking so much damage?" No.

Why WOULDN'T it be worth taking? Reject any piece of advice just because it comes from someone not in your circle of friends? I mean you're not even stopping to analyze if it's good or bad feedback, instead just rejecting it as soon as it comes.

And I'm surprised it took 4 pages for someone to say a sort of "don't tell me how to play", I'm not bossing anyone or ordering them to do something, really that attitude is exactly what is wrong with this game.

People tend to trust their own opinions more than those of strangers. That's all I was saying. Love the defensiveness though. I was just trying to offer friendly, unsolicited advice! You get the irony right?
