Red = Marauder

tl;dr A Marauder (not Warrior) using Foresight + Blood for Blood is the new way to beat T9! Spread the word and I hope your teams can beat T9 with ease now![]()

See, this is the kind of thing I've wanted to see! People finding inventive ways to use classes over jobs in a viable way! Although I think the only other truly viable one would be Archer over Bard...
It's a shame that some people are so resistant to trying to do things any way but the known standard. So called "Elites" who've memorized all the standard strats and standard job cross-class skills who freak out upon seeing attempts to push the envelope and experiment a little. Letting the game fall into repetitive complacency isn't good for it!

lol im curious how he world hold my aggro when im starting to dps with my brd... óo (most of the time im tanking with randoms... xD)
I'd love to see him get past phase 1 on T9 using BFB as MT![]()
I would like to see him try that in T9, and die very quickly.
Reminds me of Starcraft, when a guy zerg-rush me, and boasted how his rush was unbeatable (i was kind of gambling on that he wouldn't rush, cause rush is so fcking boring)
So i asked for a rematch, and when he came with his little zerg rush, i countered with my zealot rush....and suddenly he had an urgent need to leave, cause his mom needed him.
I wonder what excuse mr marauder here, would have, for getting 1shot from using b4b.
well, that's one way of hammering the brutal truth of no diversity at endgame what so ever. Even if his tone (and the archer's tone as well) was kind of unnecessary, he does have a point. As most offtanks are warriors anyway, their secondary job is to deal damage. Maybe not with Blood for blood though.
But why post this... what's the point of apparently 'humiliating' people who are obviously ignorant about how there is literally no customisation at endgame? You can blatantly tell that the guy is new, no shit. Tbh, I mostly blame it on the archer, it's people like him/her that just make the game worse. People like the marauder need to be taught in a calm manner. Not in some demeaning 'I am better than you' insult filled comment. But still, at least you stayed mature in that situation, maybe not in this forum post however.

This ^
There's not really much of a point to this thread at all other than to vent some latent frustration with the issue. Sure we get that there are some out there who are unwilling to take constructive advice even when given in a very calm, polite, and subtle manner. I know as I've ran into more than my fair share of them as have others. But in all honesty the marauder is at least thinking creatively. In the role of someone who is the MT (which I would imagine was the case here) BFB isn't a very great idea for obvious reasons, but in the role of an OT it's a fairly decent idea in certain situations. For example in Titan HM through DF which needs two tanks to queue in the OT going in as a marauder utilizing more DPS abilities like BFB isn't a bad way of approaching the fight. In this case it would be best for them to go all out DPS as they're not going to need to worry about damage mitigation anyways (assuming the MT doesn't go down).
I think here concerning this issue we have someone who is thinking, but it just wasn't applied appropriately.
In fairness to the OP, the "red" is the tank, the "yellow" is the archer, and as I see it, the tank started off with "you aren't too bright, are you?"
Hostility works both ways. You can't ask for a non-toxic community from the "elitists" and then when someone gives you logical advice (read: when your healer is telling you as the tank not to do something, and is backed up by someone who main tanks events) tell them they're stupid and ignore the advice. If I was the tank and my healer gave me that advice, my first thought would be "I must be making it harder on the healer. Let me not do that." not "dude I know what I'm doing, you're stupid. Let's get into a pissing contest over DPS!"
Sound like i say a tank, please don't use provoke to start a pull because i don't want die.
After a few words about "i am a tank, i know my job", i stole the aggro from a mob and start to tanking because 40 secs of CD is not enough.
