Final Fantasy 14 and Vagrant story

we already have some stuff coming from ivalice (like some name dropped there and there) i was wondering what people will feel of some stuff coming from vagrant story.

for the one knowing it, you know how the story was soo much open at the end and how good this game was.

edit: i'm not talking of the character nor ivalice, but Lea mundis, the place where we are while the game.

Funny enough, I was checking about VS too earlier today, but I think the story ended on a good note. I feel that there should not be a cross-over of characters to dilute the experience gained from the game.

If anything, the crafting system from VS would be a nice addition to the crafting in this game; also moving to the specific workshops littered about the dungeons or world map.

They said if a story was finished it wouldnt appear in FFXIV. FFXI and DQ only appeared because they are still going. Could happen if there was a Vagrant Story 2 planned.

i wasn't thinking about the character, but more about the place lea mundis, can be fun to have a place like this in the game. not litterally the same place, but the idea to use a place that will open up as your progress into it.
maybe a good idea for a raid or a dungeon after CT, a place that can be opened more and more as your beat the right boss in the right place. a dungeon more open that are not a line.

why not even imagine something more interesting, more challenging, like a place that you can enter as many than you want, but that reset every week. for open part, you must complet challenge or kill boss that hold key. and what the most interesting it's they can add more and more place as time pass, since this place is really big.

for make simple a place you enter with your group and explore, but every week the boss/challenge change of place and allows more replayability.

What they mean is, for example;

Final Fantasy IX, the "Story" overall is considered by the company as "Finished", therefore hosting a promotional marketing event for it in-game would be completely pointless.



They're currently restricting their promotions where possible to the Final Fantasy franchise, (Dragon Quest X was something Yoshi-P personally worked on, therefore he has a soft spot for it).

As for the future, there may be more promotional events, but the only "Closed Story" characters you're likely to see are the ones already pre-planned such as The Crystal Tower where old game bosses are to appear;

Ultros, Archeron, Hein, Unei and Doga (etc)

Yeah I mean its not like there is a strategy game set in ivalice, or a main title...

As much as I want to see stuff from Ivalice appear (mostly the monsters that haven't shown up and the Espers) I don't think it's gonna happen.
