[Theory] Alexandrite drop rate

Just for a confirmation, do I need to do anything in order to get alexandrites from fates?

I have Animus equipped, and gotten the inks. I already collected 9 alexandrites so far, but nothing from fates.

Why emphasized the inks? I think we should have turned in the inks at the very beginning?
Anyway, I confirm I got an alex. from a fate at outer la noscea. with animus equipped, it just dropped like an atma.

To OP: sorry I forget the exact time, I think it was around 30-45min after daily reset as I was doing daily quest after reset.

Random is random. I did the japanese time theory and didn't get Atma any quicker.

^Confirmation bias, had a couple of friends try this with me, didn't work. Also got 6 alexandrite from FATEs in a day and haven't been able to reproduce the results since. Let's remember that this is RNG, it's something completely random that might show a pattern for some people. If you find a pattern that keeps your hopes up and is less boring, go for it, but this does not mean it will work for everybody since we are talking about RNG.

I would love to get some alexandrite from fates. No luck at all so far on that front.

It's annoying because I just think all the time I'm farming FATE's, I could use it farming Brayflox and actually progressing to an Alexandrite...

RNG is RNG. There's no code to crack about how to increase drop rate. It's all random. some people get lucky some don't.

I even got out my Bluebird since it even says it brings good luck (you never know lol) and still nothing

An accessory or and piece of clothing that will increase drop rate should be ideal. A bit like the moogle hat

Right after my second Alexandrite drop, I began to check my number of fates, it was 900+, and right now I have 1500 fates and no drop.
I don't mind about grind, doing fates while waiting to enter in duty, I like do to long quests, it keeps me busy in game, and it doesnt make me want to play less or "leave" the game, you know.., the feeling when you log on and have nothing to do.
Anyway, I know the RNG thingy, but come on, am I really unlucky ? Is my horoscope really that bad ? I began to think that central thanalan has no Alexandrites at all.

It's not a complaining post or whatever, I know there is many players in this situation, I just wanted...hmm, well to say it.
