Novus is a significant upgrade for most jobs and second best in slot for all jobs. It's a big ticket item and people want it.

And yeah no ones forcing me to do it. But its either that, or I get turned down by groups or have people quit mine because "LOL YOU AINT GOT GEAR SCRUB!"

If a quest upsets you why are you doing it, it's not like you have to have it to do endcontent since there are alternatives.
