Yeah, for all the bitching and whining alot of new players did over Legacy players we didn't exactly run away with the bank in any aspect. We got a chocobo that... we still had to finish the chocobo quest to use and there's not much we can even do with it, it's just a chocobo. One more vanity mount in a river of vanity mounts because the real mount is the chocobo you get from the chocobo quest for the low cost of 2,000 seals. The tattoo is a non-issue as near every piece of armor covers it up so most of the time noone sees it anyway. The goobbue, which was a sticking point for the longest time, wasn't even a Legacy gift, it was something you could get for a limited time that even many Legacy players never bothered getting because it was a goobbue.

And did we ever pay for having the ability to play our old characters. Sure, our monthly fee is lower (low enough that I was able to justify getting the 6 month plan), but in-game because of a minority of players all of us had to eat a 90% Legacy tax on our gil. I started 2.0 with 30,000 gil for it. Sure, that was more than new players started with, but new players didn't have early 2.0 repair costs on high level gear to deal with. Took me a while to recover the gil I lost to Legacy tax. We also got to keep our old gear, which was THE reason I kept my character. I started 1.0 late (around 1.18-1.2 I think) so all the multi-class armor had turned Dated so it was a heck of a time trying to get some made. I love my Dated Iron Plate set, wouldn't dream of getting rid of it, ever. Wish I'd gotten it in every color it had available, though...

Why would you say that? Is it from him jetting all over the world to appear in every "look at me" event that will have him, bringing in new players to a game that already doesn't have the server space needed to fully accommodate the player base they already have? Or could it be that he many times refuses to acknowledge the issues in this game, and just blames the players themselves for either not knowing how to play it, not knowing how to properly manage the camera, or even not knowing how to manage the lag, that he sometimes even denies is there?

While I don't think they can bring back the CE blue version, supposedly Quick Explorations can bring back the red one. Although, your chances of that are so slim that you might as well continue to think they're just not possible to get anymore.
