Am I The Only One Having Trouble With Atma Drops?

Ya I know it is, hence why I hate the quest itself. I'm seeing many less skilled, or more casual players than myself get their atma weapon everyday. This really grinds my gears!

well getting the atma weapon means nothing till you've upgraded it to animus.

I see atma wielders all the time but hardly see animus.

I was stuck farming my last Atma on North Shroud for a week after farming 11 at about a day's pace. May the RNG gods be with you.

Been at it for almost 3 months and still don't have 12.

Yoshi should have to farm atma in order to get his paycheck.

However, according to yoshida himself.. they might make it easier to get near future, but not in 3.0. This is just an advice, but don't farm atma's 2 - 3 hours straight, no matter how hard you want to get it. It won't happen so easily. Try changing areas every 40 min or so. Sometimes, give it a rest. There is something about the time.. not just pure drop rates. I might sound crazy, but I got all 12 within 6 hours. But, took me 9 days. While I can't get single atma on my dragoon playing 3 hours straight.

That's where Yoshi failed, it's not hard, just time consuming. There's a difference between a quest being hard and it being a boring, mindless, time consuming grind. Getting ATMA requires zero skill. I know they said the quest was supposed to take time, but seeing how people still did it in a few days, they failed. The only thing they succeeded at was frustrating the rest of the player base that gets screwed by the RNG.

Of course, I wouldn't mind it so much if they gave me something entertaining to grind. When I was a fresh 50, I had no problem farming Ifrit HM to get a weapon. Farming level 10 FATEs just sucks. I'm sick of having most of my hotbar being useless.

If you want something hard, go get your High Allagan Weapon.

I've gotten 9 so far and having no luck at all with the last 3. Been grinding in Western La Noscea, Lower La Noscea and Central Thanalan for the past few days and gotten nothing. Did 7 hours just grinding yesterday. All together, adding up the time spent in all three regions, I've been grinding about 12 hours with nothing. My longest time grinding in 1 single place was around 8 hours.

Animus won't be too bad for me as me and a few others enjoy running CT a few times a day if we can, so I can get 150 myth from there and maybe get lucky and get the BRD and BLM gear too.

Thats not too bad tbh.

Just keep at it, and start using it to spirit bond for the novus part.
