    The Customer Comes SECOND

I have been done a severe injustice by Square Enix. My satisfaction is trumped by the money that SE so desperately wants. I recently bought a Phial of Fantasia to change back to Elezen. I figured that the ears of an Elezen in a hood would be delegated not by a preset number, but by the length I chose. It's not like I can see how my character will look in a certain outfit.
I sent in a request to have my Phial restored using the one time item restoration feature, knowing others who had done the same and been given what they desired, but was rejected. Why? Because I "used the item correctly". See the picture.

Have I been turned down because the Phial is now a precious income for SE? Did it not before have a price tag on it? If only in loose manner? I know that others have gotten their Phials back after using them "correctly". Either everyone who asks for it gets their Phial back when they do the ONE TIME restoration, or no one does.

I'm sure they've become less inclined to oblige since you're now able to buy Fantasia. And there's nothing wrong with that.

So you see nothing wrong with them giving the cold shoulder to a paying customer? Who has shelled out money for a game, and is now denied satisfaction? Not for any reason, but for their need to make more money? I do believe how they answered me would suggest they should not be doing item restores at all. For instance, you bought the wrong Soldiery item. YOU clicked the wrong item. The soldierys were used correctly though. So if you sent in a request to be given the proper item, you should be denied. Am I not correct?

It's one thing if you accidently destroyed the item. But you actually used it. You have no right to ask to have the item restored.

    Yes, you should be denied.

You used your soldiery to purchase something, SE completed the transaction on their end.

They should not have to go into the database and change the transaction because you made an error.

    Look at it this way...

If you're making a purchase at an unattended vending machine and hit Pepsi when you meant to hit Dasani... do you make a call to the vendor and ask them to send someone down to immediately right YOUR wrong?

No, the vending machine did what it was suppose to do. You made the mistake on your end.

If someone happens to be walking by that can open the machine and make the switch, you lucked out. It shouldn't be an expectation though. They reserve every right to say, "sorry, you messed up you gotta either buy a Pepsi or drink hte Dasani".

They have no obligation to reimburse you, because the machine worked as intended.

Now, if you put a dollar in and made your selection and the machine just ate your dollar. Yes, you should file a complaint (if you feel your dollar is that important to you) and the vendor should be obligated to return your dollar.

I would have went into more detail if I was not limited to a certain amount of characters.

@Vallug I changed from Elezen to Hyur. Then from Hyur back to Elezen. I was under the assumption that ear length in a hood would be determined by the length of the ears, not by a preset graphic. So I switched back from Hyur.

@Macka I did use it correctly. But so did others, did they not? I know people who have been given their Phials back via the item restoration. I was not able to check whether or not the Elezen's ears would look the way I wanted in a hood because you aren't allowed to wear clothing during the process of changing your character.

No, you are ignorant and self entitled. YOU can preview your character with your current gear on and check if it's like you want it. If you fail to check this button and make sure that you like it. Than it is alone YOUR fault and you screwed up. SE sold you the "item" you used and screwed up. Why should they fix your mistake?
