I'm not saying any thing one way or the other. And i realize toto-rak might not exactly be a litmus test for mage efficiency. But if a meat headed Marauder can manage this, don't know what it says about the people who have extensive time logged as dom with the appropriate stat builds.
The ability to do it and the desire to do it are different. You know what I'm saying?
I'm not really having a hard time healing in Darkhold, I just don't like that I'm no longer doing the things I used to do.
I had a lot of fun at Great Buffalo the day before patch. I was healing, nuking, DOT, I was constantly pacing myself and calculating what to cast when, I was even forced to "not overheal" and once (after Sonorous Blast drama) had to go passive and regen a tiny bit (note: tiny bit). That was fun to me. It was fun to be involved in a lot of things and to have so many things to do.

We weren't really taking a lot of damage in Toto-Rak until the boss fight and that was more the litmus test, I think. I don't think we really went in taking it seriously - all of us on jobs we're pretty unfamiliar with just doing what we think we should do on those jobs -haha and most of us spec'd to do the opposite (You MRD stats healing, me with 130 MND psuedo-not-really-tanking). 1 of the 2 ARC may have been spec'd to actually DD.

Anyway, it's just not fun to sit there and micromanage Cure to HP.
I enjoyed it in XI for a long time, but over the years I realized just how little I was "doing."

I dunno. I just don't like it. I also don't have much room on my bar for those things like Slow and Paralyze (not to mention they have ridiculous recast timers) now that I have to have multiple Cures for various situations so I don't waste MP over-healing a person and a couple extras for AOE "oh shit" situations. Before 1.18 I was all about DOT & debuff and now I'm too scared I won't have enough MP the next time All-Seeing Eye pins us down in a corner while we're juggling 3 moles. That's just how I play "strictly healer" though. Maybe I'm outdated.
