I suppose if we get (RDM) as a job, and that comes with the abilty of refresh, then i think the game balance will be more visiable. Right now the game is even worse than it was pre-patch. I do recall SE saying this will be the rawest version of auto-attack, and battle refinements. I will wait and play extremly casualy until the game reachs the level of considerable satisfaction. Right now the game is slowly getting on its legs, but i can see us losing more people due to the limitations, and mp consumption. We need a stronger player base, and not keep losing (Future paying customers). All and all the game has much to improve on, and this patch imo wasnt a good direction for the game. Hopefully things will get better. I am assuming patch 1.20 when we get jobs the game will start to come alive, and people will see what directon Yoshi has in store for us, and ffxiv. /Cheers
It does help with MP management significantly. pre-1.18 there was no need for MP management at all and quite frankly it spoiled a ton of mages and they all became complacent. Luckily the mages in my LS knew how to conserve MP and play their classes correctly before this patch. Is this a significant change? Absolutely. But many saw it coming and those that did have had no problems adjusting their play style.

But so many people here act like this is the end-all-be-all final class adjustment EVAR for mages. Those who act that way are blind fools.
