it seems low compared to before but i think its in line with where it should have been the whole time. It will take around 3 hours to rank at that pace and that seems pretty good to me.
1.18 is really actually geting the game back to where it should have been at launch I'm a mage and I like the changes I can live with it is now more to hardcore gamers.
Playing a mage is just fine, I've been playing them perfectly fine since the patch on my main character, you just can't sit there and spam one key and cure to yourself to victory with no concerns of management.
In most MMOs, you have to manage your abilities and MP -- XIV had zero management of anything.
Lol I really think this is ridiculously funny. People think there is such thing as balance in MMOs...nope. FFXI taught me one thing. When one class gets nerfed another one rises as the exploited class of the game. So whats the call for the next nerf...any bets?

We now have think about what we are doing.
Gladiator cannot pin 100% hate on him in 10secs and keep it there the whole fight anymore. And you cannot kill everything in the game by spamming emulate and sacrifice III anymore.
Game requires you to think, plan ahead in the fight and manage mp, forces hate control for everyone, a dungeon with an extremely difficult boss you cannot just go in and zerg, and makes those enmity up and down meds/toxins a lot more useful now.
This is just what the game needed, difficulty.
There are a few issues with the patch but overall it is complete win.

I love that cure and sacrifice no longer are AOE spells, now I have to focus as a healer and not spam cure. I like that Curaga cost so much and generates a lot of hate.
