Hear hear! I only completed the limsa quest to enter the dungeons and gave my first crack at the darkhold last night; failing miserably. However, I had more fun last night than I've had in a while in this game. My early thoughts are that SE really hit the mark with this last patch. (aside for the crashing and the complete hosing of LS chat of course)
1.18 and Yoshi-P for the WIN! please bring us more changes like this patch and the people who actually enjoy SE style'd MMO's will come back.. you will get the FFXI Converts you thought you were gonna get before.. I went back to FFXI and I can say that after 1.18 i'm here for the foreseeable future. LOVING the direction the game is heading.. now since I rerolled i need to hit 22-25 so i can take part in all the new content![]()

The crystal ball is telling me that Yoshi's going to make a post after the weekend /nod whether its for an emergency adjusting oooorrrrrrrr 1.19 detailes wooooooooo! Can't wait....
@Wiklly that sig is totally distracting me D:
Seriously Why?

I think what we're seeing now is the gigantic initial backlash to the vast changes that 1.18 brought.
Did they go a little far with mages? Probably, the MP costs didn't need to be THAT high. Conjurer is the main healer now, with people wanting class uniqueness one of them had to be. 50/50 shot.
Most of the classes are honestly more balanced now. People throw around nerf constantly but I think it's more that the classes are simply better balanced. Does that mean a reduction to some? Yes.
What everyone really needs to do is shut up and play. Play the game and adjust to the changes. If you're not having fun with the changes, it's probably time to cut your losses and leave if you feel the need. Party mechanics need to be re-examined, people need to re-learn how to play the game in certain aspects. A lot of things changed but it's worth mentioning that further battle adjustments are coming in 1.19.
For once I actually agree with you on something. Well said.I think what we're seeing now is the gigantic initial backlash to the vast changes that 1.18 brought.

About effing time! I said 2 months ago there was no mp management in this game. Now look! I'm excited. Can't wait to get my controller working again so I can heal just fine

I really enjoyed this patch.
I'm just a little worried about the Guildleves.
I did a R30 leve yesterday and a R30 MRD.
This is what i got:
Securing Nophica's Wells
2**
SP reward: 2k
I did it in 10min.
Seems a bit too low to me. =/

it seems low compared to before but i think its in line with where it should have been the whole time. It will take around 3 hours to rank at that pace and that seems pretty good to me.

1.18 is really actually geting the game back to where it should have been at launch I'm a mage and I like the changes I can live with it is now more to hardcore gamers.
