Realists expected this much and SE never said that 1.18 would be the end all be all magical golden patch either. They were very clear that changes would happen in clear iterations.

I think they reaised MP costs so you don't have everyone in the aprty with cure II spells spamming them on eachother. Now you get a good 2-4 spells, maybe more if you have some MND, and after that, you need a healer. I LOVEEEE IT

@ OP - I'm guessing you aren't a mage.
There's lots to like in 1.18.
Playing a mage isn't one of them.
I can see that, it wasnt fun pre-1.18 either who likes to spam cures and get by doing nothing else(THM) or then not being liked much due to lackl of good role(conjurer). Who likes to see another job solo stuff like dodore & the goblin family when we need full groups? nobody, i don't feel any of your pain even if im 35 THM im not bothered ,not one bit.
They didn't need to completely nerf one class to make the other viable. I was all for a them balancing out the mage classes more but this was a little over the top. TBH, changing emulate would of been much better than this.I can see that, it wasnt fun pre-1.18 either who likes to spam cures and get by doing nothing else(THM) or then not being liked much due to lackl of good role(conjurer). Playing a mage is just fine, I've been playing them perfectly fine since the patch on my main character, you just can't sit there and spam one key and cure to yourself to victory with no concerns of management.
In most MMOs, you have to manage your abilities and MP -- XIV had zero management of anything.
I agree. Playing a mage is in fact one of the things to enjoy in 1.18. We were ridiculous: spamming heals and not having any consequences? Spare me the tears. That's not how games are supposed to be. There has to be some challenge and 1.18 brought it to us. If people don't like either suck it up and adjust or move on. Or, you know, wait for adjustments in future patches since this probably isn't final.Playing a mage is just fine, I've been playing them perfectly fine since the patch on my main character, you just can't sit there and spam one key and cure to yourself to victory with no concerns of management.

It's so good to see a mage that's not QQing over the adjustments!I agree. Playing a mage is in fact one of the things to enjoy in 1.18. Most mages will have to learn again how to play their class.
EXHALTATION A NEW WORD THM's WILL LEARN TO USE IN THEIR VOCAB. Perhaps we will see 1 healer in unactive mode when another main heals to maintain proper healing like in FFXI. people are afraid of changes and instead of thinking HOW they will get around the new barriers they drop dead and whine or die or ragequit. Fail more.
