See this is where you are wrong. Competent THM/CONs actually agree with this adjustment. Then again they weren't out there actively spam healing in the first place. pre 1.18 CON was a very ambiguous class that lacked a clear defined role. It has that now.Apparently only melee players like the mage adjustments. They seem to have something AGAINST mages, like we're supposed to be their peons that just serve them and make THEIR fun possible, without having any fun ourselves. I like the Grand Companies, but I am seriously hating EVERYTHING else they've done with this patch. I need to get a melee class to cap asap because CON/THM are freaking GARBAGE now.
I agree, the changes make me feel like I have a role and almost a job in the parties now. I not only like the changes, but I love them, the MP increase, as well as potency (damage/output) increase makes perfect since.
I also play THM and find that I am able to still auto attack and solo mobs pretty effectively.
For the first time in parties, and in game things seem to be moving forward. More adjustments are on their way, but this was not only a needed adjustment it was critical. I think SE nailed it, and I for one can't wait to see what else they have in store for us down the line. I just hope it doesn't take as long as 1.18 took, so here is hoping for 1.19 in August.![]()

Petition for Microsoft to allow XIV with cross system play:

Ok, so XIV now finally have a mage class strictly for healing (White mage). They need to take away CON's nuke abilities and get rid of those masochistic ancient spells (it's just painful to cast them). Make it purely a WHITE MAGE job.
We still need a Black Mage job with capable spells!
Well don't forget that Archanist is coming eventually. I can't see them launching the jobs system when there are unreleased classes! I think what will happen is we'll have three DoM classes, a hybrid healer, a hybrid nuker and a hybrid debuffer. SE did state that they are planning on re-organizing most abilities as part of reinforcing class uniqueness. So that could be likely. Then again CON could be the hybrid healer type class and still have elemental spells.Ok, so XIV now finally have a mage class strictly for healing (White mage). I'm pretty sure Yoshida said somewhere or another that they have no intention of implementing classes yet - that all their creative energy was going into Jobs. Now, obviously, Unangrier is an Archanist and there are plenty hanging around in Limsa Lominsa but "coming eventually" doesn't make THM suck less today. Nothing "coming eventually" has any real relevance on how little I want to play CON or THM today, does it? It just further alienates me from playing a game that I actually liked playing before this.Well don't forget that Archanist is coming eventually. Spoiler: He's an archon.I'm pretty sure Yoshida said somewhere or another that they have no intention of implementing classes yet - that all their creative energy was going into Jobs. Also I can't get the spoiler tag to work.
Peach Parfait/Khulan Angura on Gilgamesh
Ummm...Archon isnt a class, its part of the story, IE one of 12 archons that spread rumours of things to come? basically hes a prophet. His class might be arcanist but it could just be CON. You dont see the Admiral as a class.
'United we stand, Divided they fall'
He never stated that. Thats exactly how a lot of misrepresented debates start on the forums :P Also there is a bigger picture that you're not seeing here.I'm pretty sure Yoshida said somewhere or another that they have no intention of implementing classes yet - that all their creative energy was going into Jobs. "I'm pretty sure" isn't really definitive proof is it.
I'm still pretty sure, but I think it was in a magazine interview and I'm never going to go find the quote for you on this one so you don't have to take my incredibly uncertain recollection of something I read weeks ago if you don't want to.
Saying they'll probably add Archanist to alleviate Conjurer bullshit is no less ridiculous in the speculation department, though. Can we agree on that?
Think SE will release a BLACKMAGE Class but will be totally diffrent then what were used to seeing in FF games.Ok, so XIV now finally have a mage class strictly for healing (White mage). Something like a SCH/Elementalist,Geomanner,Bluemage... Plus ever thought some Abilitys/Spells are better for other classes they arent gained on. That depends on how they change some abilitys/spells affinity's.
Lets say they add a blackmage class.
Fire,Water,Thunder etc work better on the new blackmage class rather then on the CON.
Con can still dishout attacks but no as effective.
