By now I think Yoshi and the Devs know the whole "--- or Riot" thing is not a nasty thing, especially with those faces. lol it's been used many times, and has achieved many results for things that have been put into the game.

Also, it says this about the General Discussion: The purpose of this forum is for players to discuss various topics on FINAL FANTASY XIV with other players. and that is what we are doing, discussing. If people can make a thread telling players what they can and can't do, like this one. We can make threads about things we want info on or would like to see in the game. At least our thread is related to the game and it's developments.

1.0 was a mess because SE didn't listen to the customer. Then Yoshi took it over and the people, like myself, who paid and played during the 1.0 phase where asked many questioned and told to give constant feedback about what we would like in this game. Basically this game is what it is due to us giving feed back and fighting for the content that we wanted. Even back during the beta of 2.0 Yoshi said:

Your feedback is vital to balancing the game, and I've read through the battle feedback threads thoroughly. Between the manual, the schedules, the developer's comments, and all the tester feedback in here, I realize there is a lot to read through, and I thank you all for taking the time to do it.
I can say with confidence that only FFXIV could receive so much feedback and support from around the world for a beta test that's only getting started.

and lets not mention all of the posts that the Dev's place saying they are taking people ideas, questions, wants, needs to the team. The implementation of a new race, which people started a whole thread over. The implementation of a dagger class, which Yohsi put out a poll for asking what people wanted to see and people continued to ask for etc...

So you're telling us not to do what SE said they wants, which is feed back on every aspect of the game so they can continue to improve it and make it a game that people want to play? Because it seems to me, the Dev's and Yoshi respond to a lot of the threads in here, which are all asking or demanding something (not just the threads with riot in the title). Even your thread is demanding something, lol!

So not sure what exactly you're expecting?

So ........... any dispute now whether they help or not? Sure Yoshi-P may have said "there's lots of support and requests for fantasia" (or it may have been asked for more on the Japanese forums). I'm positive it WASN'T due to the riot thread, though.

Unfortunately that is not true. Yoshi has been talking about implementing the fantasia in the mog station for some time. They just didn't give out any information, so the riot thread started.

So...there is no difference. You are not specially justified by your actions.

Apparently SE isn't a fan of the Riot threads as they have now gone through and renamed them all to "Please add <name of class>".

Look, it's not about people should or should not suggest whatever to se, it's about how people do it. If people are gonna suggest something huge such as a new class, dungeon or whatever, be prepared to argue, defend your argument and prove to se and everyone against your proposal that what you what your suggesting is something legitimate. Saying something like, "just cuz", "because it's cool", or "x or riot" spamming the thread is not an argument, it's an excuse. Tell me, why should SE listen to a bunch of kids spamming "x or riots"? Act like a kid, you'll get treated like one. You want people to listen to you? Present your proposal properly. Provide pros and cons on why it should be added. Keep it civil, don't start a flame war with troll baits. Don't call anyone who argues against it a "white knight" and vice versa.

Tl;dr. If you're gonna ask for something HUGE like a new class, do it professionally and properly.

I think the "Give X or Riot" sctick is stupid, much like the doge meme (or every meme for that matter). And just because I think it's dumb doesn't mean I don't have a sense of humor. I just don't find the joke entertaining in any way.

Now there is a saying that "you catch more flies with honey" and that is why (civil) constructive feedback is far more preferable than some mouth-breather shouting "GIVE ME THIS OR I DO SOMETHING RASH AND/OR STUPID".
